Who would have seen this NFL Conference Schedule coming?
If you look up “underdog” in the dictionary, you could see any of the teams involved in the NFL Conference in there. There are a lot of happy Vegas bookies out there, but there are also a few thousand happy Eagles ticket holders, Ravens tickets holders, Cardinals ticket holders and Steelers ticket holders. The year of the underdog that started in 2008 looks like it has continued into the NFL season. If you look at this year’s crop of NFL playoff teams, you couldn’t have seen these playoff matchups coming if you were Nostradamus. I mean, the Philadelphia Eagles versus the Arizona Cardinals? These teams faced more adversity than Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich nominating Roland Burris for the senate. It’s really anybody’s game to to win. And in the AFC Championship, the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers are set for what could be the most physical game in the history on the NFL. Don’t be surprised if there is an injury or twelve. Anyone who tells you they know what’s going to happen this weekend is either on some heavy pain medication or is not paying attention.
Its been a fantastic NFL Playoff season so far, and I have a feeling its going to continue into Conference Championship weekend.
